The crash took place around 8:10 p.m., Thursday, March 25, on Parker Street near Frederic Street in Springfield, said Springfield Police Spokesman Ryan Walsh.
When officers arrived on the scene they found an adult male motorcycle rider who was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he died from his injuries, Walsh said.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the SPD Traffic Unit investigation.
